India's Suzlon
commissions 900 MW of wind at home in FY 2015/16
May 2 (SeeNews) - Indian wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd
(BOM:532667) said today it has commissioned 900 MW of wind parks at home in
fiscal year 2015/16 for a more than 100% year-on-year growth.
Just in the final quarter of the fiscal year it commissioned 520 MW of
wind power capacity, the company said. It now has 15.5 GW of cumulative
installed wind power capacity around the world, including 9.5 GW in India.
Throughout the 12-month period the company maintained its roughly 36%
cumulative market share at home, with installations across eight Indian states.
It implemented projects for various clients, including Independent Power
Producers (IPPs), Public Sector Units (PSUs) and Small and Medium Enterprises
(SMEs).
Meanwhile, India’s wind industry installed a record 3.3 GW in fiscal
year 2015/16 for a 42.7% year-on-year growth, Suzlon noted.
